when you know you are stuck and still do nothing, you have chosen to stay stuck
So what are you afraid of, really? Is it a fear of failure and having to deal with the possibility of shame, ridicule, and judgment? - or a fear of success and dealing with jealousy from others and haters? Something else? There is a better way to get free from your inability to move forward rather than choosing to stay stuck or feeling guilty for being there. Here’s how.
The first step is to bring the beliefs or fears that keep you immobilized into your conscious awareness. If you are unsure, there are multiple ways to explore the possibilities. Here’s one: take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle creating two columns. In the lefthand column write down all the things you have been unable to do because of being stuck. Do not judge, just write them down. Be as exhaustive as possible. Next, take another look at your list and see if a theme appears, or more than one. Fear of social ridicule? Fear of failing? Fear of being visible? Belief that you are not good enough or don’t have enough experience/training/etc? For each item, write the applicable theme in the second column. Tally up how many items are in which themes - what themes have the most? Start there to release those fears or limiting beliefs.
The second step is to do something to release the fears or shift the limiting beliefs you’ve identified. I prefer using the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) - also known as tapping - as a powerful way that successfully does both.
Take another look at your list. What may have resulted by now if you had been able to move forward in all these areas? What experiences are you missing because these fears have stood in your way? How would you feel if you could move this mountain out of your way?
These blocks, fears, and limiting beliefs are not unique to you - they are actually pretty common. But that does NOT mean they need to continue to stand in your way of success and fulfillment! Tackling these challenges is much easier when you are not doing it alone. Get support and encouragement! You CAN overcome your blocks and resistance for good!
